How do people pay for their degrees? Is their financial aid available and how do I apply for it?

Our students pay for their degrees in a number of ways. Some domestic students apply for federal financial aid with the FAFSA. Additionally, when students apply to our school, they fill out a “NeedAccess” application, which provides us with a “snapshot” of their financial need. This is available to both domestic and international applicants. Though federal financial aid is not available to international students, international students are eligible for merit-based fellowships as well as external sources of funding. For example, a number of students in our programs are Fulbright fellows. Need and the student’s abilities are taken into account when the division is determining how to distribute the merit-based fellowship money. Furthermore, a number of our students receive funding from external sources such as Fulbright, or other scholarship foundations. The first step, however, is to check the boxes on the application saying that you would like to be considered for financial aid.
