How do people live if mentally ill?
It is VERY HARD to live with a mental illness (especially one that keeps you from working). We live in a society that at the current moment, forces you to live and try to work with mental illnesses. In a lot of cases, it is hard if not impossible to get social security if you have mental illness. A lot of the times, they will require that you were mentally ill from birth (like autistic or have a degree of mental retardation). I have schizo typical personality disorder and borderline personality disorder and I can’t get social security. I’m pretty much forced to find a job (which is tough for me being that I’ve been searching for jobs but have been unemployed for 10 months now X( ). The last real job I had, I stopped attending due to mental stress. I regret it, now that I am not employed. I’m on a decent drug regimen now, and that seems to be the best way to live.
