How do people know dogs are color blind ?
Guest6920 First of all, as someone earlier said, dogs are actually not fully color blind. They are technically red-green color blind, but dogs can see some yellows and many shades of blues and grays. And doctors and scientists performed studies to find out what colors dogs can see. Dogs were observed while using different colored objects; such as by having dogs fetch different colored objects, it can be determined approximately what colors dogs can see. John D already gave you a page from this site, but I'm going to give you a link to that same site that has a little more info on the actual studies that were done to see what colors dogs can see: http://www.uwsp.edu/psych/dog/LA/davis2…. That site not only has info about studies and such, but it also has images of a dog's color spectrum compared to a human's color spectrum. Best wishes!
