How do people become possessed by a devil?
I believe Satan is real, however, I think many cases (not all) of ‘demonic possession’ can be explained by physical or psychological conditions. In the past even Epileptics were thought of as “having a demon”. I think rather than “Possessing” people like in the “Exorcist” or movies like that, although that was loosely based on a real incident, most people who are ‘possessed’ are just doing things Satan would want, hurting other people, being evil, causing other people trouble, not the movie type scenario. I don’t think ‘head spinning’ or whatever other special effects they have in movies are what happens. I think however, if somebody who goes out on a killing spree or something like that, while it is largely psychological, they could be somehow ‘possessed’ but that does not mean a priest or clergyman would be able to ‘drive out the demon’.
