How do our surveys differ from a standard land survey?
A normal land surveyor will only measure a few points on the ground many 100’s of feet apart. A G.P.S. track map provides a position approximately every yard. We survey at least five lines around the track. An inside and outside line marking the boundaries of the track, and several midlines representing the track surface. This provides an accurate three dimensional picture of the camber and gradient of the track surface at every point on the circuit. Each map contains tens of thousands of individual points, some maps contain over 100,000 !
