How do orthodox Anglicans view the authority of holy scripture?
We hold the Holy Scriptures (1) to contain all that is necessary for eternal salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, and (2) to be the inerrant authority containing the body of teaching necessary to successful, Christian living in the present age as well. (We steer by the Word of God in its unified entirety, not by seizing upon verses randomly) Saints over the millenia have found, by the testing of their faith, that the Word of God is truth, not just “truth for them,” but true absolutely.
