How do Option 1 and 3 affect school choice and mobility since those calendars are most similar to others on the Wasatch Front?

Options 1 and 3 align relatively closely with school districts on the Wasatch Front and in most of Utah, as well as private schools and charter schools both in and out of the District’s boundaries. This close calendaring makes it easier to transfer between schools mid-year both for families who are moving in or out of the district, and for those who move a child to a different private, charter or other public school that is better suited for their needs. It also more easily accommodates children in the same family attending different schools that better address their particular needs.
