How do online events work?
An Event has a certain time slot and within this time slot there are certain round time slots. The round time slots determine the duration of for instance a qualification-, semi final- or final round. But the most confusing part is probably the “tries”. Within the time slot of a round you can do a certain number of “tries”. This number of “tries” is determined by the competition organizer (VRI). You upload a result at the end of each “try” and only your best result counts. Now, people tend to think that a round time slot period is the same as a round duration, but that’s not true. If a round duration is set for 10 minutes it actually means that your “try” lasts 10 minutes, but the round time slot (in which you can do several “tries”) is usually 24 hours!
