How do online classrooms work?
The biggest advantage of WDLI’s online classrooms is that there are no mandatory weekly meeting times. Students are required to interact with professors by using the classroom email box and by submitting course requirements such as short papers, online writing assignments, quizzes or exams. They contact their classmates via the classroom email box and also participate in Newsgroups or a (voluntary) chat room. Our students like the flexibility of completing coursework on their own schedule. They don’t need face-to-face time with a professor to get the motivation they need to perform in a class. Many WDLI students have travel requirements and a multitude of personal and professional obligations. Member University professors are aware of the special needs of distance learners and are supportive of all WDLI students.
