How do obese people view skinny people? ?
I used to be skinny as a teen then became obese and now I am at a healthy weight. Because I have been on both sides I see everyone as human, everyone has feelings and insecurities. Some of the largest people are completly happy with themselves and could care less what you think of them and the thinnest people are obsessing over gaining a pound and cant enjoy life. I see everyone as a neighbor and friend, we are all in this together. I can also tell you from being on both sides, I never felt like I was good enough to be friends with a “skinny” person. So to answer your specific question…I think we are jealous and dont think we are as good as you. Now I have plenty of friends because I am not so embarrassed of my weight and I am able to open up. Being large makes you self conscience and feel less than, so if an obese person doesnt seem like they are warming up to you thats why.
I’m speaking in generalities here but most obese people think that the slimmer folks are looking down on them. In many, many cases, that is true. I have been slim, obese & am now kind of in the middle & still losing. Also most obese folks are not lazy as a lot of slims think. Their metabolism & their heredity is different. So are their motivations. No one should ever judge another person based on appearance alone. Remember I said at the beginning, I am speaking in generalities. I am not saying that all obese folks nor all the slim folks feel this way.
