How do new swimmers get a space on the team?
Prospective new families in groups 3 and 4 will be given lottery numbers at the time of registration. There will be a lottery drawing at the close of registration to determine new swimmer family priority within groups 3 and 4. There is an equal chance of receiving a high lottery priority regardless of what night a new family registers on, so no one is penalized for attending the later of the two evenings. Once placement is known families have the option to remain on a waitlist, or to have their registration materials (forms and check) shredded or returned to them. No checks are cashed nor apparel ordered for any new swimmer family until they confirm their acceptance to the team.
