How do nerves work?
Nerves carry impulses and electricity through your body to do a function like blink, make a fist, turn your head or even swallow. When you make a fist, your muscles and your nerves work together. As you start to make the fist your hand sends a nerve impulse to your brain telling it that you are trying to make a fist, which in turn sends another message for the body to send the electricity to the hand to be able to complete the function. Every movement you make repeats these steps. You just don’t notice it because it happens so fast.
