How do models “converted” by epic Severiuss feat calculate into unit size for massive casualties (50% loss) command checks?
The attrition rules state that a check is made when the unit “loses half or more of its members”. “Loses” encompasses any and all ways in which a model is no longer part of the unit. So models removed from a unit due to epic Severius’s feat count towards causing a massive casualties command check.
