How do make alkaline soil into acid soil?
Depending on how alkaline the soil is, first you have to neutralize the alkali by adding an acid with the same power and amount as the alkaline soil would have. For example, if your soil has a pH level of 13, you may need an acid that is strong. Depending on the amount of soil and how much alkali the soil has, calculate the amount of acid needed. Then, add some more acid and your soil will become acid instead of alkaline. Again, the extra amount of acid needed would depend on how strongly acid you want the soil to be and how big (square footage) the soil would be. It would not be a good idea, though, to do this in reality, since the deposits could infiltrate into the underground waters and pollute them.
