A. Local housing developers can apply for HOME funds from the City of Las Cruces every December. Applications are made available to the public for approximately one month. Public hearings on the proposed projects are held at various locations in January. Based on the eligibility of the proposed project and the projects consistency with the Consolidated Plan, City staff makes recommendations to the Las Cruces City Council in March. The funds are made available to the awarded projects after July 1.
