How do loans of EBL books work?
A librarian reviews all of the requests several times throughout the day. You will automatically receive an e-mail updating you on the status of your request as soon as the librarian makes a change. When your request is approved, you will have the ability to download or read the book online for a period of one to seven days,depending on your request. You will also be able to print a portion of the book (but not the entire book) or copy and paste parts of the text into another document. It is important that you use the link contained in the approval e-mail to access the book. Please note that these links are very long and often run across multiple lines in the e-mail. The link should begin with “http://libaccess.lib.mcmaster.ca” and end with ^u. If clicking the link gives you an error message, you may need to copy and paste the link into your browser window.
