How do Liqui-Cel Contactors work?

0

Liqui-Cel Membrane Contactors operate on two principles of chemistry called Dalton’s Law and Henry’s Law, which together state that the amount of gas dissolved in water is proportional to its partial pressure. So, by lowering total pressure of a gas mixture, reducing the concentration of the gas in a mixture or a combination of the two, a lower partial pressure is achieved. Our hydrophobic Hollow Fiber Membrane puts gas on one side of the membrane and liquid on the other side. By introducing a vacuum to the inside of the Hollow Fiber Membrane, dissolved gas is driven through the membrane wall and carried away from the liquid.
