How do lima beans grow?

0

Lima Beans are in the Legume family, are high in protein and dry very well. The bean seeds are planted in warm, moist, fertile soil that is in full sun. The seed will then germinate and develop nodes, then stems, leaves and more nodes will grow, and then will flower with nodes below the flower developing into pods that are 5-6 inches long. Harvest the pods when they are large and lumpy but still green, then push the beans out of the pod and enjoy.
