How do Lemon Batteries Work?
Usually a lemon battery is made using wire, paper clips or nails and pennies in 2 or more lemons. There is a chemical reaction between the lemon juice and the metal in the paperclips or nails and another between the lemon juice and the pennies. Since they are different metals the reactions are stronger in one than the other, this causes electrons to move creating an electric current.
