How do Lamar graduate students apply for federal financial aid?
Students may borrow Stafford loans through the Federal Student Loan Program to assist in paying for the program. Students should allow 2-6 weeks for all applications to be processed. To apply: • Complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on line application at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Lamar University’s school code is 003581. If everything is correct and complete, it will take approximately 5-7 business days to load into the school’s system. • You must be officially accepted into the Academic Partnership program at Lamar University. • Complete and turn in the Academic Partnerships Financial Aid Intent Notification. • If a student has been placed in verification, additional paperwork will be required such as tax returns, W-2s, verification worksheet, and possibly additional documentation.
