How do Jewish ppl celebrate Easter and where do they think Jesus is in the whole scheme of things spiritually?
They do not observe Easter because they do not recognize Jesus as anything more than a mortal man. The Jewish religion has a passover they observe. In 2008, it arrives at nightfall on April 19. It occasionally falls close to the Christian Easter because the formula for Easter bounces around a lot. Example, to determine Easter, you have to wait till the spring equinox. (the first day of spring- March 20-21) Now you have to wait till there is a full moon. After the full moon, the next Sunday will be Easter. Kind of a messed up way of doing it but it is established and no one is asking to change it. So Easter could be as early as March 22 or as late as April 19. Passover serves to remind Israelites of the Exodus from Egyptian slavery. As in the Book of Exodus, Passover marks the “birth” of the Children of Israel who become the Jewish nation, as the Jews’ ancestors were freed from being slaves of Pharaoh and allowed to become followers of God instead.
