How do icons get nominated for icon of the day?

On all icon pages, you’ll see a link that says “Nominate for Icon of the Day.” Each day, you can nominate one artwork of each type (icon, avatar, wallpaper). The art with the most votes in each category at the end of the day will be selected at midnight.
