How do i write an essay for GCSE english literature exam please help its 2morow!!!?
Im having trouble with that too, and not because i havent had lots of practise its just because its so different from the english language which i found so much easier, we have only had a few months to work on the lit course because we spent the past year and a bit working on language. Depending on the question i would first repeat the question in my own words refering to the texts giving a brief summary of each, then i would comment on the characters and relationships, themes, structure and language, i would also comment on any symbols used. Then i would conclude answering the question with what i had discussed i would then add personal opinions. Use the PEE method throughout, Point, Evidence and Explanation. Comment on similes, metaphors etc. Hope this has helped. Good Luck for tomorrow.
