Excuse me? A writer’s thingy?? A query letter costs nothing. YOU have to write it. You have to learn how to write a query letter as well as a book proposal and a synopsis to get a book published. Get yourself a copy of Writers Market 2008 and start reading. It will teach you a lot. Another good source is Nicholas Sparks’ website. While he isn’t one of my favorite authors, he has a very fine tutorial on his website to help novices. Also if you go to my profile, you will find I have starred all good Q and Q regarding publishing and writing. Feel free to go through them and print out ones that will help you. Several successful authors have posted information here for novices. Use it.
