How do I write a literature review on payroll issues?
I just completed a literature review for a graduate class. My professor required our review to be 1.5-3 pages. It came after the introduction and before our methodology. She recommended organizing it by starting with more general articles and ending with articles that most closely address our research. She also recommended organizing by theme of research. So if you have studies on the same topic, discuss them together. The lit review should be written as a summary of the literature. It should not have your opinion or interpretation. However, you should definitely point out any area where research agrees, disagrees, or contradicts other studies. We used APA style for our paper, and the APA guide does go over some basics about how to outline a literature review. You can probably get the guide at your library or I got one very inexpensive online at half.com. Good luck on your paper and research.
