How do i work out what amps, powercaps and things that i need on an in car stereo?
For amps for subs you have to match the OHM load that your going to run for the subs to the amps stable OHM load and the rms wattage of the sub/s to the amp that you have selected. The last thing is that you will want a mono block amp, that means 1 channel, not 2 or 3 or 4 channels, only 1 channel is needed for a sub or subs. For full range speakers it is usually much easier since most full range speakers are 4 OHM so with that just match the rms wattage to the amp. For full range speakers you will want a 4 channel amp to maintain your fader and balance, a 2 channel will only maintain the balance. To wire a new stereo into your car you need to purchase a wire harness adaptor that polugs into the wire harness behind the stereo for the car, the stereo will already have 1 for that plug that into the stereo after you wire the car wiring harness adaptor to the harness plug for the stereo.
