How do I word the invitation for my daughters birthday?
This falls under the heading of “trying too hard.” I don’t recommend going out of your way to say that they’re the special chosen few. It’s rather rude for the children that were not asked who might hear about it. This sounds more like an event where it would be best to simply place a call to the parents and say that Bailey would like to ask their child out with two of her other friends on her birthday. It saves the back and forth and you’ll get an immediate response (unless you get that “let me discuss it with my husband/daughter”). You should really only worry about RSVPs for large affairs that require a great deal of planning. After you personally invite the children, then you might follow it up with a nice confirmation in place of an invitation.
