Start the letter with, I am writing to complain about the recent service I have received within your store on “date”. I was looking to purchase a laptop and hoped for a little assistance (explain the rest of the story). I am very dissappointed with the unsatisfactory advice given and expected a higher level of service from such a reputable company.
