How do I view Word document attachments from Webmail?
Webmail delivers the attachment to your browser with an application type that should be recognized by your browser as a Word document. Most browsers will automatically invoke Microsoft Word to display the attachment. Some users have reported that the attachment is displayed by their browser as plain text – as far as we are aware, it’s only Internet Explorer that exhibits this behaviour; other browsers we have tested (Opera and Netscape 6.2) display the attachment in Microsoft Word as expected. If you are unable to use a different browser, you can work around the problem by saving the attachment to disk and invoking Microsoft Word explicitly to view the saved file.
