How do I use True Type fonts in Techbase graphics?
In the directory TBASE27\sys is a file called fonts.map. For font numbers between 51 and 99, this file has the TECHBASE font number, and the matching TrueType font name for Windows. The file also includes font information for HPGL2 and Postscript fonts. A “fallback” font is also included. This is a TECHBASE font that will be used if the requested font can not be found. See the comments in the fonts.map file for more information about how to define fonts for your system. The new fonts can be used by entering the number wherever a font number is requested. For example, to plot using “Courier New”, enter the number 51 (see Fonts.map file for further description) where font is requested in any Techbase menu. In the Windows environment, fonts are stored in a separate folder called Fonts under Windows/WinNT or the equivalent on your machine. True Type Fonts use the file extension .ttf, and are available from Microsoft or various other printer/plotter/font manufacturers. See your Windows help
