How do I use the 16 knobs to control the Gate Time in Grid Record mode?
In order for the 16 knobs to control the Gate Time while Grid Recording, you must press the button above the knobs that normally selects what function they perform (ie, Quick Edit, Program, Volume, and Pan). Pressing this button will toggle the knobs from alternately controlling either the Velocity or Gate Time for their corresponding steps. For instance, Knob 3 will control either the Gate Time or Velocity for any Notes entered at Grid location 3. You may also cursor over to the “Vel” field and change it via the scroll wheel if you prefer.
