How do I use SmartFTP?
What You Will Need Before you begin, be sure that you have the following information available: • Username: Your Misk Username • Password: Your FTP Password • Hostname/Address: ftp.misk.com • Port: 990 (Must choose the Implicit SSL FTP option) You will also need to download SmartFTP from SmartFTP’s Download Site and install it on your computer. Connecting to our Server Before you can start uploading files you will need to establish a connection to our server by following the steps below: • Select the FTP over SSL Implicit option next to Protocol. • By default, you should select FTP unless instructed to do otherwise. • Enter the address of your FTP server in the URL box. Type in ftp.misk.com. • Enter your Misk Username in the Login box. • Enter your FTP Password in the Password box. • Enter the number 990 (for Implicit SSL FTP) in the Port box. • Click the Go button next to the URL box to connect.
