Type the name of the company/product/service into the business, type or name box. In the location box enter a city name or zip code. • How wide an area does the Business Directory cover? The Business Directory includes listings from these counties: Sacramento, Stockton, Modesto, El Dorado, Plumas, Sierra, Nevada, Yuba, Sutter, Colusa, Yolo, Solano, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Tuolumne, Calaveras, Amador, Placer. • Are the businesses listed first in a search result, the most relevant? Yes. An algorithm is used to determine which businesses are the most relevant to a search. If you prefer, you can sort the returned listings alphabetically or by distance. • I live in Elk Grove and am looking for a plumber. When I do a search, a gazillion plumbers come up. Is there any way to narrow down the results? Yes. On the search results page, in the center column, make sure you’ve selected Elk Grove, under the “City.” Then, under the “Distance” tab, select “2 miles.” That will focus the search results
