How do I use Mr.Mirror to take files on my office PC home with me and work with them on my laptop?
First of all you need to have some external storage device as a means of transportation. Also, be sure to have Mr.Mirror installed on both the desktop PC and on your laptop. On the desktop PC put the required files on a hard drive that is available on your laptop as well, e.g. drive c:. Let’s say that for transportation you have an external zip-drive at your disposal. On the desktop PC just create a regular backup of the required files onto the zip-drive. Take the zip-drive home with you and connect it to your laptop. Run Mr.Mirror on your laptop and select the zip-drive. Now press ‘mirror image’ and restore the files as if they had been created on your laptop. Run an update on your laptop if you have made changes to any of the files. This way you can restore the files from the mirror image back to their original location on the desktop PC.
