How do I use Math Type Lite equation editing software?

Recommended, especially for college algebra, trigonometry, and calculus. Math Type is a commercial equation editor software. If you download the 30-day free trial of Math Type (www.dessci.com/en/products/mathtype/trial.asp), after 30-days it reverts to Math Type Lite which (as of the writing of this FAQ) you can keep for free forever. Math Type and Math Type Lite allow you to construct equations (using fairly intuitive user-friendly menus of math functions) which you can then cut-and-paste into a discussion board message to create inline equations in your post. After cut-and-pasting into your DB message, only the code will appear in the compose message window, but the equations will render upon submit. For directions on transfering equations from Math Type to MoodleRooms and other web applications see www.dessci.com/en/support/mathtype/works_with.htm?target=moodle.
