ANSWER 1. Ensure you have an active TCP/IP connection to the mobile device. To test this, you can ‘ping’ your device either by host name or IP address. This is a test to see if your network is properly setup. If you cannot ping your device from your desktop/notebook computer then your network is not setup properly, or is subject to some firewall interference. To ping your device, open up a DOS command prompt on your desktop computer, and enter the following command: ping Hostname Note: You must substitute Hostname with the host name or IP address of your mobile device.
