How do I use Islamic rosary beads?
Islamic rosary beads, referred to as Misbaha or Tasbih, are typically used in daily prayer rituals. Generally, each string has 99 beads, with a marker after every 33 beads and an elongated bead at the end. These beads correspond to the 99 names of Allah. The prayer consists of saying “Subhan’Allah” 33 times, “al-hamdu lillahi” 33 times and “Allahu-akbar” 33 times.The rosary, or subha, guides a repeated set of prayers praising God. Hold the prayer beads loosely in your hand, begin with the bead closest to the elongated bead and count off the beads while reciting the subha. In prayer strands with 99 beads, continue to recite the rosary until the end of the strand.
