How do I use FTP to download a file from the SCSS Software Repository?
1. Open an FTP client such as WS_FTP or CuteFTP etc 2. Enter software.scis.ecu.edu.au 3. Enter ADS\username for username, where username is your ECU student/staff username as used on campus etc. 4. Enter your ECU student/staff password for password –For GUI Clients: 5. Navigate to the appropriate folder 6. Depending on your client, double-click, right-click and select Download or drag the file to your local folder window. –For Text Based Clients 5. Navigate to the appropriate directory by typing cd FolderName 6. When you have reached the appropriate directory type: RETR filename –Both clients 7. Upon completion of file transfer, exit the application.
