How do I use ArcIMS with a Proxy Server?

0

Use the Proxy Server properties file (aimsproxy.properties) to specify whether your Local Area Network (LAN) uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet. A proxy server is a computer on your LAN that connects to the Internet without compromising the security of your internal network. If you are not sure how your LAN connects to the Internet, contact your system administrator. If you use proxy servers, then set the appropriate properties in the aimsproxy.properties file which is located in the user’s Profiles directory on Windows and at $AIMSHOME/Xenv on UNIX.
