How do I use a download manager on GameArena?
Download managers can be used on GameArena, but there are limits on how they can be used and as such users may have problems downloading files if they have download manager or accelerator software installed (packages like GetRight, FlashGet, or DAP). Download managers are software applications that help you ensure your downloads come down more reliably by allowing you to resume incomplete downloads. Some download managers also offer the ability to ‘accelerate’ your download – unfortunately, it does this by making many more connections to a file server. When it does this, it means that other users will be disadvantaged as the connections will all be in use by one user with a download manager! As a result, GameArena download servers have a limit on how many connections that can be made. If you are using a download manager, the simplest fix is to limit it to make no more than two connections to our server.
