In order to upload audio online, you need to make sure the audio file is in the correct format. The system can only use u-Law . wav files at 8.000 kHz, 8 Bit, Mono. One easy way to do this using the Windows operating system is with the built-in sound recorder. • Open the Sound Recorder. You can probably find this in the Start Menu by following Programs, then Accessories, then Entertainment. • Record your greeting and save it by choosing File, then Save as… • Click the Change… button to set the proper audio format. • Select CCITT u-law from the format drop-down box. • Select 8.000 kHz, 8 Bit, Mono 7kb/sec from the attributes box. • Click OK. • • Name the file and click Save.
