How do I upgrade to Sophos 6 Anti-Virus software on my PC?
• Uninstall Sophos Remote Update and Sophos 4 • Download and install Sophos 6 • Configure Sophos 6 Sophos 6 will not remove Sophos 4 when installing itself, this must be done manually. How to uninstall Sophos Remote Update and Sophos 4: • Shut down Sophos Remote Update and Sophos 4: Locate the two Sophos icons in your PC’s system tray (lower right corner of your screen). Sophos Update icon is a blue daisy and the Sophos IC Monintor icon is a red lightning bolt. If either icon is present, right click on the icon(s) and turn them off. • Uninstall Sophos Remote Update and Sophos 4: Click Start (lower left corner of your screen) -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs. • Remove Sophos Remote Update FIRST. • Then remove the Sophos 4 Anti-Virus program. • Restart your PC. • Check your system tray (lower right corner of your screen) to be sure that Sophos is no longer running.
