How do I upgrade Office and Internet Explorer as one package, or as a pair of linked packages?
If you want to upgrade your client’s version of Internet Explorer, then you must upgrade Internet Explorer separately from your Office XP deployment. You should not chain the installation of these two products together. You can deploy Internet Explorer either before or after you deploy Office XP. Office XP automatically installs Internet Explorer 5.01 during SFU. Installing Office XP does not downgrade Internet Explorer versions that are later than 5.01.
