How do I upgrade from ChronoSync version 3 to version 4 if I ran ChronoSync 3 at root level?
Follow the steps in the previous question to install ChronoSync 4. 1. In the Get Info panel, change the user/group privileges for any existing Sync document from “system” to your user, making sure your user’s privilege is “Read & Write”. 2. Manually open any Sync document and, for any targets that you have root access on, change the “Connect to” setting from “Local Volumes” to “Local Volumes (Admin access)”. Now you have control over the Sync document and root access to the target just like you previously did. Any new Sync documents you create will have the correct user/group privileges. If you want to have root access to any mounted Mac volumes, check out the new ChronoAgent.
