How do i update windows XP?

If you have Windows XP on your desktop or laptop, you will occasionally see a little balloon notification come up in the lower right hand corner of your screen that says “New Updates Are Ready To Be Downloaded”. This notice is a result of Windows XP checking its “home base” for new updates and comparing your Windows installation to that list. New updates come out periodically and you should always click “OK” to download and install new updates. The updates are downloaded and installed automatically. Once the updates are installed you will be asked to restart the machine, please do so at your earliest convienence. Installing updates from Microsoft will help keep your machine secure and address compatibility issues as they are discovered.
