How do I update the virus definitions for my copy of Mcafee AV?
Our default setup of Mcafee should make the software look for updates everytime your machine is left idle for 5 minutes. To do it manually, right click on the Mcafee shield in your system tray and select ‘Update Now’. You can always check to see how up to date your definitions are by right clicking on the shield in your sytem tray and selecting ‘About VirusScan Enterprise’.
