SAV Interface is updated by updating Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows NT/2000. To perform a monthly upgrade: • Insert the Sophos Anti-Virus CD into the Windows NT/2000 machine and click ‘Quick installation’ on the welcome screen. • Click ‘Central installation’ to update the central installation directory (CID). • Sophos Anti-Virus will automatically update itself the next time it checks for an update. For detailed instructions see the SAV Interface on Windows NT/2000/XP installation guide. To update with an IDE file: • Copy the IDE file into the CID (not the Sophos Anti-Virus folder). By default, for Intel, this is C:\Program Files\Sophos SWEEP for NT\NTInst\i386. • Change to the CID and run the command SETUP /UPDATE • Sophos Anti-Virus will automatically update itself the next time it checks for an update. The application will automatically use the updated version of SAV Interface. SAVI.DLL does not need to be updated.
