If you rely on your Garmin Nuvi GPS for accuracy, then having an updated map in your device is important. In addition to ensuring GPS accuracy, updating your Garmin Nuvi maps also provides you with a larger selection of Points of Interests (POIs) at various locations, such as new restaurants, gas stations, and movie theaters. Garmin Nuvi users have the option of purchasing nuMaps Lifetime or nuMaps Onetime. Lifetime allows users to update their devices up to four times a year at no extra charge while nuMaps Onetime is a single map update. Visit the Garmin NuMaps homepage (see Resources) to see if there is an updated map for your device. Type your Garmin Nuvi serial number in the box under the “Check Your Device” section.
