The best way to increase your glide time is to race on a course like Celestial Valley or Magma Flows, where you can glide for a large portion of the course, and choose a machine that glides well, like the Wing Star or Shadow Star. Also, having more human-controlled players to play along at the same time will add to the combined glide time even more.
