Some people have encountered problems when they change the BellSouth supplied Westell 2100/2200/6100 modems from USB to ethernet connectivity. It is recommended that you cleanly uninstall the USB drivers before making changes. Download and save the “USB Drivers Uninstall” executable from the BellSouth Support Site. Additional Notes You must completely power down and disconnect the Westell when switching from USB to Ethernet. The Westell does not require any drivers or software to connect through Ethernet.
